Challenges & Solutions in Film Producing
The international audiovisual industry is challenged by widespread mental health issues, and the momentum is here to approach these challenges heads-on, based on data, lived experiences, best practices and constructive tools. This 2-module workshop is designed for designed for producers with the focus on smooth communication within the creative team. The workshop will introduce the topic of mental health, and it will look at the international tendencies and mirror them in a local context. It will dive into best practices from abroad focusing on solutions, and the workshop will contain both lectures, group work and case studies, all based on peer-to-peer dialogue. The modules will span both the individual and the structural, offering an understanding of the risk and responsibilities of the producer. The goal is to raise awareness and competences towards a healthier and socially sustainable approach both in the productions and our own health.
The workshop is designed for 20-25 students.

Evaluation methods and criteria
The workshop will be held in English, and it stretches over 2 dates. The workshop will be held in English, and it stretches over 2 dates. Students who attended both part of workshop will be given credit after attendance. The students who attendant only second part of the workshop will be ask to provide short written reflection on given topic.
Note
Louise Højgaard Johansen is a Danish festival programmer and film industry consultant based in Prague. She started her festival career at CPH PIX and has curated film events for audiences and industry professionals around Europe for almost 20 years. She has also produced award-winning films in her own company, including ‘Grandma Lo-fi’, ‘End of Summer’ and ‘Last and First Men’. Her latest initiative, Sane Cinema, is advocating for mental health awareness in the film industry, and has in the past two years collaborated with international training programmes, film schools, festivals and markets, including ACE Producers, Erich Pommer Institut, Marché du Film, the EFM and APA – Audiovisual Producers Association. Louise holds a master’s degree in Film Studies from The University of Copenhagen, and is a member of the Danish and European Film Academies. sanecinema.net
