Obsah

The workshop will focus on gaining practical skills in the field of photographic work with the environment and people, with an emphasis on the versatility of the skills that the student will acquire.

The workshop will be divided into a theoretical understanding of the problem, a practical demonstration of how to solve situations, and subsequent independent exercises, which will be evaluated together in the workshop.

Practical assignments will include reports, BTS, and portraits from events taking place at FAMU during the semester, which will serve as a safe training environment.

During the workshop, students will learn archiving approaches and work habits as well as how to communicate with the person assigning the work, even if in their case it is a teacher or fellow student.

PHOTOS WITHOUT PEOPLE

Descriptive, informative, documentary, or mood-setting photos suitable for further graphic processing and „2D scans“ of reality.

PHOTOS WITH PEOPLE

How should people look in photos when they are not the primary subjects and it is not our goal to photograph them directly? Or maybe they don't even want to be recognizable, or we only need them as background. And what if their presence is necessary for understanding the situation?

PHOTOS OF PEOPLE

We photograph people because we need to recognize and present them.

Mass events, gatherings and presentations, official events, vernissages, or premieres. This includes group photos!

WHAT AWAITS US? The lighting is not ideal, and the mood of everyone involved is certainly not ideal—they are not there primarily for us.

Maximum with minimum (feel free to use agreed models)

Portraits, dedicated photo sessions for the purpose of promoting a person/people and their activities, the subject cooperates and the situation arose because of us or we are fully taken into account.

Working with the existing space, light, props (when and what kind?) and the mood on set.
