On Monday, March 3, the American filmmaker, photographer, curator and educator will present her current work and her way of working, the meaning and possibilities of using virtual reality in documentary filmmaking in a Masterclass at FAMU. Chi Jang will present her current work with a demonstration (an experimental documentary I WAS THERE, PART II) followed by a discussion, especially considering VR. The masterclass will be conducted in English.

Note

Chi Jang Yin (1973) is an award-winning American filmmaker, photographer, curator and educator. She focuses primarily on experimental filmmaking, exploring themes of uprooting, alienation and narrative memory. Recently, she has been experimenting mainly with the combination of documentary filmmaking and virtual reality, as in Vanish (2024). In this workshop he will present his current work and his way of working, the meaning and possibilities of using virtual reality in documentary filmmaking.
