Popis a cíle

The practical course in Nonverbal Theater focuses on the individual development of participants as creative individuals and on refining their skills in the fields of physical and mime theater. The goal is to develop techniques in modern mime, clown and comedy theater, and physical theater, with an emphasis on distinctive acting expression and contemporary theatrical language.

The course is designed as practical instruction based on European and Czech traditions, supplemented by work with masks, objects, circus disciplines, and the basics of voice and breathing work. Participants choose a combination of core and supplementary training sessions according to their focus.

Instruction takes the form of group lessons (at least 52 classes in total in two semesters, 1 class = 45 min) which may be supplemented by individual instruction depending on time and capacity constraints. The course is open to all, regardless of prior formal education, and can serve both for personal development and as preparation for further study.
