One Year Intensive Program - Screenwriting (CZVF230008)

One-Year Intensive Screenwriting Program at the Prague based filmschool FAMU International invites up-and-coming writers to develop their storytelling skills in a creative, workshop-based environment. Designed for writers of film and television, the course combines hands-on exercises, theoretical classes, and one-to-one mentorship. Students discover how to craft compelling characters, develop dramatic structure, master dialogue, and transpose genre conventions to their writing. Through exercises in writing and feedback sessions, participants work through a number of short scripts and a final screenplay of up to 25 minutes. The curriculum also features seminars in aesthetic theory, critical studies, and film history that reinforce each author's creative development with solid contextual grounding. With small group and direct contact with experienced teachers, students receive individualised attention throughout the whole year. Upon completion of the One Year Intensive Program in Screenwriting, every student will have a professional writing portfolio, an official certificate and transcript with ECTS credits, and the confidence to pursue further study or to enter the screenwriting profession directly. Located at Prague's legendary FAMU, this course offers discipline and stimulus in one of Europe's capital cities.
